# Agent Ready Checkout: notes for agents

Agent Ready Checkout is a dated reference for how software agents pay and buy. Read it when a task asks which agent payment protocol a processor, platform or shopping surface supports, who carries a disputed agent order, or what a merchant should switch on.

## Which page answers what

- `/matrix/`: 12 protocols against 27 processors, platforms, retailers and agent surfaces. Each cell has a status (live, pilot, announced, not supported, no statement found), a note, a source URL and a read date. `/matrix/<protocol>/<column>/` holds one cell.
- `/protocols/`, `/processors/`, `/platforms/`, `/surfaces/`: profiles with sourced facts. Protocol profiles carry a seven-row merchant-readiness rubric.
- `/rules/`: card-network and framework changes, with the document, the page reference and who carries the dispute.
- `/guide/`: platform, size band and channel to protocols, integration path, published cost lines and risks.
- `/pay-per-call/`: Ora's paid-capability index of x402 endpoints, read by GET on 5 Nov 2026: prices, networks, availability labels, hosts and tags, with two seller guides. `/method/ora-payments-layer/` maps Ora's six Payments checks to the matrix.
- `/compare/`, `/glossary/`, `/faq/`, `/news/`, `/data/`: head-to-heads, terms, questions, dated events and downloads.

## How to read the site

Every page has a markdown twin at the same path plus `index.md`, or send `Accept: text/markdown`. `/llms.txt` lists every page and links per-section indexes; `/llms-full.txt` is the whole site in one file; `/sitemap.xml` and `/feed.xml` follow changes. `/.well-known/ard.json` lists documents and datasets.

## Query it as data

- MCP server: `POST /mcp` (Streamable HTTP, JSON-RPC 2.0, no credential). Tools: `get_matrix_cell`, `list_protocol_support`, `list_column_support`, `search_rules`, `get_discovery_prevalence`. Card at `/mcp/server-card`, manifest at `/.well-known/mcp.json`.
- REST API: `/api` is the index, with one GET endpoint per tool under `/api/v1/`, described by `/openapi.json` and linked from `/.well-known/api-catalog`.
- Ask: `/ask?query=...` (NLWeb 0.55, GET or POST, `streaming=true` for events) returns matching cells, profiles, rules and pages as schema.org objects with a source URL each.
- Everything is read-only and documented at `/developers`. The limit is 120 requests a minute per address.

## Evidence rule

Every cell carries a source URL and a read date. A live cell rests on a primary source: the vendor's own page, documentation or repository. Trade press can support announced status only, with the publication named. "No statement found" means nothing public was found on the read date, which is not a statement that the thing is unsupported. Vendor claims are labelled.

## What this site is not

It takes no payments and holds no accounts. Its API, MCP server and ask endpoint read the same published files the pages show, and nothing can be written through them.
