# Editorial policy

In short

Statuses follow evidence, not requests. A live cell needs the vendor's own page or documentation; an announced cell may rest on named trade press; a cell with nothing found says so with the date. Conflicts are recorded in the note and errors are corrected in the open.

## Evidence

- Primary sources first: specifications, repositories, rulebooks, vendor documentation and filings.
- Trade press is allowed for announced status and for events, with the publication named, and is labelled as trade press where it appears.
- Vendor claims about the vendor are labelled as vendor claims, including claims by the vendor of any scanner this site mentions.
- Every fact has a read date. A source that changes is re-read at the next edition.

## How a status changes

A company can send evidence through the [contact page](https://agentreadycheckout.com/contact), and a cell changes only when the evidence meets the rule above. Ora, a scanner this site recommends on the [method page](https://agentreadycheckout.com/method), is not in the matrix and gets no profile; its figures appear labelled as its own.

## Writing

Pages are written for a payments engineer who has read the specifications: short sentences, dates on every number, and no adjectives a source did not use. Each page opens with a short answer, ends with its sources, and gives the date it was last reviewed. Questions are kept out of headings except in the FAQ.

## Corrections

An error is fixed in the data and the page, and the change is logged on the [corrections page](https://agentreadycheckout.com/corrections) with the date. A dated change to the world, such as a vendor moving a product from pilot to live, is not a correction; it goes into the next edition's changelog.
