# Chargebacks when an agent bought

In short

No network has an agent dispute code. Visa makes the cardholder responsible for the agent's actions within instructions, and from the October 2026 rules counts an agent provider's login ID as matching evidence against 10.4 fraud claims. Amex promises protection for agent error. Mastercard's public rules are silent.
