FIDO Alliance
In short
On 28 April 2026 the FIDO Alliance said it would draw up interoperable standards for how agents interact and transact, building on Google's AP2 and Mastercard's Verifiable Intent. Its work covers verifiable user instructions, agent authentication and trusted delegation, in two technical working groups. It has published no final agent payments specification and certifies nothing yet.
